Human Body:
Allah's Incredible Creation

Behold! In the creation of the  heavens and the earth, and the  alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (with the thought): Our Lord! Not for naught have you created (all) this! Glory to You! Give us salvation from the Penalty of the Fire. [Aal-Imran 190-191]

The heart pumps out 13,000 liters of blood each day - enough to fill a small road tanker.

Our heart beats around 100,000 times every day, approximately 2500 million times in a lifetime.

If all the blood vessels of an adult human were laid end to end, they would stretch for 160,000 km -enough to go around the world 4 times. Our blood is on a 60,000-mile journey.

There is no moving creature on earth but its sustenance depends on Allah: He knows the time and place of its definite abode and its temporary deposit: all is in a clear record. [Surah Hud: 6]

But the God of you all is Allah: there is no god but He: all things He comprehends in His knowledge. [Taha: 98]

Our eyes are able to see 8 million shades of color. As the human eyes blink approximately every 6 seconds they remain closed for about 2 minutes in each waking hour.

In a lifetime, a human blinks 415 million times. In a lifetime, most people walk a distance of 22,000 km.

All the blood in the circulatory system passes through the kidneys every 4-5 minutes.

If all the tubules in one kidney were laid end to end when extended-they would stretch for more than 300 km.

During our lifetime, we expel 40,000 liters of urine.

Our lungs inhale over two million liters of air everyday - enough air to inflate 3.5 million balloons, without even thinking. They are large enough to cover a tennis court.

Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: for He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: it is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things. He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Hidden: and He has full knowledge of all things. He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of authority), He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wheresoever you may be. And Allah sees well all that you do. [Surah Al-Hadeed: 1-4]

Our hearing is so sensitive it can distinguish between hundreds of thousands of different sounds.

Our sense of touch is more refined than any device ever created.

The energy released from one peanut will keep brain active for one hour.

Our brain is more complex than the most powerful computer and has over 100 billion nerve cells.

We give birth to 200 billion red cells every day. About 3 million red blood cells are produced, and the same number die, every second.

When we touch something, we send a message to our brain at 124 mph.

Nerve cells may spend 60 years in inter-phase.

We have over 600 voluntary muscles.

When walking we use 200 different muscles.

We exercise at least 30 muscles when we smile.

We are about 70 percent water.

We make one liter of saliva a day.

Our nose is our personal air-conditioning system: it warms cold air, cools hot air and filters impurities.

In one square inch of our hand we have nine feet of blood vessels, 600 pain sensors, 9000 nerve endings, 36 heat sensors and 75 pressure sensors. In an average lifetime - we spend 3 1/ 2 years eating and consume 160 kg of chocolate, grow 28 meters of fingernails, 950 km of head hair and 2 meter of nasal hair.

Yet have they taken, besides Him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control Death nor Life nor Resurrection. [Surah Al-Furqan: 3] (SG)
